Safety & Reporting

Staying safe on Calido.

Calido has no comment section, ad network, or algorithmic feed, so the ways strangers can reach you are narrow. Even so, here is what you can do in the app and what we do when something goes wrong.

If you are in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services (e.g. 112 in the EU, 911 in the US). Calido is not a substitute for emergency response.

How to block someone

Swipe left on any contact in your contacts list and tap Block. A blocked account cannot call you, request contact, or see that you are online. You can review or unblock anyone from Settings → Account → Blocked.

Report a user

Anywhere you see a contact or an active call, you can submit a report. Choose a reason and optionally add context.

Reporting reasons

  • Harassment: threatening, intimidating, or repeated unwanted contact.
  • Spam: unsolicited promotional or bulk calls.
  • Inappropriate content: sexual content, graphic violence, or anything you believe violates the Terms of Use.
  • Impersonation: pretending to be you, someone you know, or a public figure.
  • Other: anything else you feel we should see.

Reports can include up to 2,000 characters of free-text detail and a reference to the specific call. Please do not paste passwords, IDs, or other sensitive data you don't need us to have; we save what you send us.

How we review reports

  • Reports go into a moderation queue reviewed by the operator.
  • Because calls are end-to-end encrypted, we do not have call content. We act on the report itself plus any account-level signals (history of prior reports, account age, pattern of behavior).
  • Outcomes range from a warning, to restricted functionality, to suspension, to permanent termination.
  • We keep moderation records to identify repeat offenders and prevent re-registration abuse.
  • We don't reveal the reporter's identity to the reported user.

Child safety

Calido is for adults. Any content or conduct that sexualizes or endangers a minor results in immediate, permanent account termination and, where legally required, reporting to the relevant authorities. If you believe a minor is using the service, please email us at calido@murat.run.

Non-consensual intimate imagery

Do not record, capture, or share intimate imagery of another person without their consent. Do not threaten to do so. Violating this rule leads to immediate termination.

Response time

Calido is operated by a single developer. We aim to acknowledge safety reports within 72 hours and reach a decision within 10 business days. Urgent safety issues (threats of violence, child endangerment, self-harm concerns about a minor) jump to the top of the queue.
